Sector Updates – Physical Intervention training is become mandatory for all Door Supervisors when they renew their SIA Licence from February 2013. Starting from 4TH February 2013 all door supervisors will need to pass the new ‘Up-Skilling Door Supervisors’ award before they are able to renew their SIA licence.

Iridium Training Academy are excited to offer our all new ‘Up-skilling for Door Supervisors’ award for the private security industry to help people stay ahead of the game.

Being trained in the appropriate techniques and how to use them will help door our learners manage difficult situations, minimise risk of injury to members of the public and to themselves.

SIA director of transition Dianne Tranmer has said:

“I encourage door supervisors who have the older qualifications to consider taking the new award as soon as they are able. Licence holders must have passed the training before they renew, so it is important that they allow sufficient time to complete it before their licence renewal date. Even if their licence is not due to be renewed for some time, completing the module now will ensure that they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and techniques to perform their role.”

Iridium Training Academy is delivering this training course at regular intervals. Please contact us on info@iridiumtrainingacdemy.com for more information.

"I would like to commend the security staff at the indigO2 for their performance during our shows with Prince. They were highly professional in every situation. We went 21 shows without one incident."
